Abstract

ABSTRAK
Introduction: Breast milk (breast milk) is good nutrition for newborn babies because it contains the perfect combination of nutrients needed by babies. Breastfeeding also really helps build a safe and loving relationship between mother and baby. There are several impacts and risks if babies are not given exclusive breast milk. Babies have a 3.94 greater risk of developing diarrhea than babies who receive exclusive breast milk, because babies who are given exclusive breast milk will be healthier than babies who are given formula milk. Formula feeding can also increase the risk of urinary tract, respiratory tract and ear infections. Babies can also experience diarrhea, colic, food allergies, asthma and chronic digestive diseases. Objective: To identify the relationship between husband's support and the success of exclusive breastfeeding. Method: This research is a quantitative research with the design used being cross sectional research which emphasizes measuring or observing information on independent and dependent variables only once at a time. Results: A total of 50 (43.9%) mothers in the Batu Ceper Community Health Center working area, Tangerang received good husband support, in the sufficient category there were 53 (46.5%) respondents while in the insufficient category there were 11 (9.6%) respondents. With the results of statistical tests, the p-value was 0.011. Conclusion: There is a relationship between husband's support and the success of exclusive breastfeeding in the work area of Batu Ceper Community Health Center, Tangerang.
