Title : Analysis of Factors Associated with the Incidence of Nosocomial Infections in the Maternal Inpatient Room at Hospital X Jakarta

Hospitals are one of the public service facilities in the health sector that provide comprehensive promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative services. Inpatient care is a form of health service in hospitals that is provided to the community where the patient has to live or stay overnight. Nosocomial infections are infections that can occur in patients after or while receiving treatment at a health service facility. Based on the incidence of nosocomial infections in developed countries, it varies between 3.5% and 12%, while in developing countries, including Indonesia, the prevalence of nosocomial infections is 9.1% with variations of 6.1% -16%. This research design uses descriptive analytical methods with a cross sectional design. There is a relationship between factors length of invasive procedures p value 0.001 which influence the incidence of nosocomial infections in the maternal inpatient room at X Jakarta Hospital but there is no relationship with the age factor p value 0.126, level education p value 0.069, comorbidities p value 0.032, length of stay p value 0.013 and nutritional status p value 0.181. Implementing measures to prevent nosocomial infections, education should be provided about nosocomial infections.
